Your summer holiday is a time for relaxation and enjoyment, but it can also be stressful when you have elderly or vulnerable loved ones at home. If you’re going on holiday, you may be worried about not being close by if something should happen. Reach & Respond can help you to keep your loved one safe and supported while you are away – giving you the peace of mind to relax and enjoy every moment.
When you sign up for Reach & Respond, we will set up a lifeline arm unit in your loved one’s home and provide you with a pendant alarm that your family member can wear around their neck or wrist.
If they press the pendant, a member of the Reach & Respond team will contact them immediately. The team can also send help if your family member needs it – whether that be from one of our responders, a designated friend or neighbour, or the emergency services.
In addition to 24-hour call monitoring, Reach & Respond also offers a range of other services that can help to keep your family member safe and supported while you are away. These services include:
- Reassurance calls and visits: We can arrange for a responder to call or visit your family member regularly to check on them and offer reassurance
- Telecare: Telecare uses sensors to monitor your family member’s activity levels to detect events in the home, such as falls. If your family member falls, the Reach & Respond team will be alerted automatically and send help if necessary.
