For most of our vacancies, you will be asked to complete our application form. You can save this and keep coming back to it, simply log into your account and update it as you wish. Just a heads up though, we may close some vacancies early if we have sufficient great applications so you may want to finish it before the closing date.

For some of our vacancies, we ask you to upload your CV along with a supporting statement, so you can tell us a bit more about yourself and why you are applying. There may also be a couple of short questions to answer along with our Guarantee Interview Scheme section.

We are a Disability Confident Committed employer, operating a job interview guarantee scheme for applicants who have a disability.

We also guarantee an interview for ex-military and currently serving reservists under our Armed Forces Employer Recognition Scheme silver award.

If you require any reasonable adjustments along the way, then please let us know.

You can also find out more about our approach to equality, diversity and inclusion.

You will receive an automated email confirming that we have got it. Please check your junk or other email filter systems in case!

If you do not receive this, please send us an email at recruitment@beyondhousing.co.uk so we can check this for you.

The advert will give you a closing date for the role and you will hear within five working days after the closing date if you have been successful to the next stage.

During each stage, we will keep you informed of the next steps and what they will look like via email or telephone call.

Our aim is to do all our recruitment as quickly and efficiently as possible, although it really does depend on the role. We include a closing date on the advert and try to include interview dates when we can.

Interviews will normally be held two weeks after the closing date, but may sometimes be sooner. Keep your eyes peeled for an email from us as sometimes we will invite you to interview before the closing date if your application really excites us!

Following your interview, you will be informed of when you will be given the outcome and the next steps.

You can drop us an email at recruitment@beyondhousing.co.uk and our friendly Recruitment team will be happy to help. You can also contact the hiring manager for the role.

As we receive a lot of interest in our roles, we are not able to give feedback to everyone at the application stage. If you have had an interview with us, then we will always let you know the decision and we can offer specific feedback if you request this. We offer unsuccessful applicants feedback on request as well.

We also have a talent bank. This is a database of great job candidates who have impressed us in a recent selection process. So, if you do not get offered the job, we may invite you to go into our talent bank for up to 12 months in case a similar role comes up. If that is the case, we will invite you to join the talent bank in an email.

Yes, we do – just sign up for our job alerts and you will get a notification when a new role goes live.

We believe we have a process that works for everyone at Reach & Respond. We always try and make sure our interviews are as relaxed as possible so you can be yourself and highlight your skills and express your character. We want to ensure we give you the opportunity to demonstrate your personal skills as well as your technical skills, as we believe a balanced approach is important.

Some of our interviews will include a skills test, which is a practical assessment designed to allow you to demonstrate your technical skills and abilities. We believe this approach enables us to access your strengths, acknowledging that face-to-face interviews may not suit everyone and can include nervousness.

For some roles, we host an ‘assessment event’. These typically last longer than a standard interview as we conduct various skills tests and provide you with information about our company and the job role. The events encourage you to relax and get to know us, so you can decide if our organisation is the right fit for you. We also want to get to know you, which is why we think they’re a great opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills comprehensively and showcase your abilities.

We’ll let you know when you book your interview slot whether you’ll be participating in a skills test or an assessment event, so you can be ready and prepared.

It is important we hire people who are a great match to our values of accountable, considerate, collaborative and ambitious, so we will ask you some questions to see whether you are a great match to those.

If you need us to make any reasonable adjustments to the interview, please let our friendly recruitment team know if you have not already highlighted this in your application.

Having an overview of what to expect should help you feel more comfortable. Here is an overview of how we run things at Reach & Respond:

You will be greeted by one of our lovely colleagues and shown to the allocated place of your interview.

First, your interviewer(s) will introduce themselves and tell you a little bit about Reach & Respond. Let’s be honest, we need to make sure we are the right company for you as well! We will also give you some information about the team and the role you are applying for.

We will then talk you through the structure of the interview. If you have been asked to complete any additional tasks or a presentation, we will usually ask you to do this first, then we will start our questions for you before you ask us questions.

Our questions are a mixture of values-based, technical and skills-based questions specific to the role that you have applied for. Remember, it is a two-way conversation, you are there to check us out too, so please ask any questions you have, no question is a silly question!

Finally, we will go through the next steps with you and look at a copy of your right to work documents and that will be the end of the interview. We will then see you out and you may meet a few of our colleagues along the way.

Yes, we certainly do as part of our wider business, Beyond Housing.

Head over to the Beyond Housing website to discover more about apprenticeships, volunteering, and work experience opportunities.
