Robin joined the company in June 2007 and has previously worked for the NHS as a Healthcare Assistant, in operating theatres and on the wards.
As our Technology & Systems Co-ordinator, Robin has a vast array of responsibilities that encompass the management of Reach & Respond’s assets, technology, and equipment. He diligently ensures the procurement, maintenance, and upkeep of these resources while also ensuring his colleagues receive any relevant training.
Robin is also at the forefront of discovering emerging technologies for the business and assumes a prominent role in spearheading the current digital transition.
Favourite moment at work – ‘I used to work as a Responder and remember the dozens of times when I’d had to personally attend to customers who needed help. This ranged from tending to minor cuts and bruises, administering basic first aid for falls, offering comforting words during panic attacks, and even co-ordinating emergency paramedics for life-threatening situations. As part of the community Responder team, it was our responsibility to preserve life until further medical support arrived!’
Three things I love – ‘My wife of 22 years. The Lake District. My two Border Collies, Benji & Meg. Oh, and not forgetting red wine and single malt!’
Fun fact – Thrill seeker Robin has completed a tandem skydive and has climbed over sixty peaks in the Lake District!
